To Those

Here's the first entry of "Ricardo Rants."

1. Tumblr destroyed blogging. I'm not a fan of it. It's the next Facebook and everyone has one only because it seems like the cool thing to have. Yeah, I have a Facebook too, but it's honestly a great way to stay connected with people. But anyway, I look through a few Tumblr blogs here and there and realize that much of the content lack in depth. People just post stupid pictures and/or videos without much commentary, if any. We're all literate, right? Hopefully I hear a "yes." People let the pictures do the talking, but we lose who the blogger is; he loses his voice and replaces it with someone else's. No wonder why so many people can't write a fuckin' essay. So many can't put their thoughts into complete sentences; they don't put down their opinions or views and essentially only repeat things. And then I get bored and die.

I'm not trying to sound all snobbish or superior, I'm just putting down MY OWN opinions; therefore, I can write an essay. Whoops, logical fallacy!

2. Alcohol never has to be the enemy. I'm tired of people who have become so fuckin' uptight about drinking, even though they've been waaayyy more fucked up than me before. If people knew how to handle their liquor, maybe we would have less people complaining. We wouldn't have any problems. I'm not trying to peer pressure others into drinking, but they should expect to drink or just go along with whatever is happening, rather than isolating themselves in their Fruit Ninja world. Please, you're not better than me or anyone else because you're (now) above the influence. Alcohol shouldn't be the reason for damaged friendships. Beer and good company keep the party going, not a tantalizing game of Words with Friends.

3. Breh and it's many dumb variations are soooo stupid, plain and simple. I'm now down with that. It sounds retarded, like you have a speech impediment or something. I'm not worried much about it because remember folks, it's only a fad, and like rubberbanding your jeans, it too will be part of what made our generation so gullable and dimwitted.
