No more "I," please.

Lately, I've been realizing that many people boast about themselves maybe a little too much. They say this and that about themselves and truly believe they are what they say they are. "I rock _____" or "I'm really good at ____," or other self-proclaiming statements built on insecurity and needs of attention. Stop complimenting yourself and give to others because if you were truly who you say you are, it would be so obvious and self-evident that people will be able to notice without any hints or directness. Modesty is a virtue, but so many lose its grasp. Trade in the ego for self-pity; people will find you more classy and charming if you just poke at your flaws and laugh about them. "ME, ME, ME" is a no-no.

Modesty lost.

with grave concern,
Ricardo Juni
